What Is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. The Town of Hilliard's Building Official holds a State of Florida Certification from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation Building Code Administrators and Inspectors. 

The Building Official's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing the Town Code, performs inspections on property complainants, issues citations and works closely with the Town Building Official, Fire Marshall, Land Use Administrator and the Public Works Director on issues in the town.

Any business that is physically located in the incorporated Town limits of the Town of Hilliard, must possess a Local Business Tax Receipt having been issued by the Town of Hilliard.

Before a Local Business Tax Receipt application can be accepted by the Town of Hilliard, there are specific requirements that must be met with the State of Florida.

When submitting a Local Business Tax application, please make sure that it is fully completed or it will not be accepted. Please be aware that the Local Business Tax Receipt Application process can take up to 10 days. 

If you would like to open a Water or Sewer account, or both, with the Town of Hilliard, you may download an application for service below, or obtain an application at Town Hall. Before service is authorized, the user must pay all applicable fees and charges for the class of service for which the user has applied.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

TOWN OF HILLIARD RIGHT-OF-WAY MOWING CONTRACT TOWN OF HILLIARD, FLORIDA

The Town of Hilliard is soliciting bids from landscape/mowing contractors to mow the Town’s rights-of-way on a bi-weekly basis from March 14 through October 10 of each year.  Sealed bids shall be received at the office of the Town Clerk at 15859 County Road 108, Hilliard Florida, 32046-6712 until 2:00 pm local time on February 17, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing on the basis of disability. Landlords and other housing providers may not discriminate against persons who are deaf or who have other hearing or speech disabilities. They may not refuse to communicate with you because you contact them through TTY, video relay or other relay systems. Landlords must make reasonable accommodations or allow reasonable modifications for persons with disabilities, such as allowing a hearing dog in a no pets building or approving the installation of strobes in an apartment.

THE TOWN OF HILLIARD is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Public Works Technician position. Current Driver License and High School Diploma / equivalent are required.  Job description includes landscaping, facility maintenance, and the ability to perform multiple tasks. Experience in water and sewer utility work is a plus. Pay ranges from $16.23 to $24.36 depending on experience.

THE TOWN OF HILLIARD is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Public Works position.  Current Driver License and High School Diploma / equivalent are required.  Job description includes experience in water & sewer utility work, operating excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, and other various types of equipment.  Must be willing to rotate on-call weekends and work after hours as needed.  CDL is strongly preferred.  Pay ranges from $18.89 - $28.34 per hour depending on experience.

Hilliard, FL — April 24, 2026 — It is with profound sadness that the Hilliard Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) announces the line-of-duty death of Firefighter James “Kevin” Crews, who passed away on April 23, 2026 following a medical emergency experienced while fighting the Old Dixie Highway Fire just south of Henry Smith Road in Hilliard, Florida.
